Tesla’s highly anticipated Cybertruck is facing significant hurdles as it approaches its market debut, according to CEO Elon Musk.
A recent report by Bloomberg revealed that Tesla’s latest venture into the electric vehicle market is encountering difficulties during its production phase. Scheduled for delivery starting on November 30, 2023, the Cybertruck represents a radical departure from Tesla’s previous models in terms of design and manufacturing complexity.
One of the main challenges lies in the vehicle’s stainless-steel body, which is purportedly designed to withstand extreme conditions. Musk estimates it will likely take until 2025 to reach an annualized production rate of 250,000 Cybertrucks. This cautious projection aligns with the views of analysts and industry experts, who have highlighted the significant risks and complexities involved in the production of Cybertruck. Some have even suggested that Tesla may benefit from canceling the vehicle altogether.
