Two furnaces and twenty-seven bags containing human remains were discovered by an organization of activists in west Mexico, who claimed to have found a cartel killing field.
Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco, an activist organization, searched a small property outside El Salto, Jalisco, on Sunday afternoon, March 24, and that’s when they found the horrific discovery.
More instances of abductions and hidden burials have been unearthed by the collective than by the Mexican government. When they announced the find, the group posted a brief video on social media and tagged state officials.
Members of the Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco claim to be a missing person search team that provides genuine assistance to the relatives of the victims.
According to the organization, they discovered 27 bags containing human bones and ashes in addition to two furnaces. The exact number of people that were burned alive or mutilated there is unknown.
Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG), a narco-terrorist group, continues to exert influence over the state of Jalisco. For many years, this cartel has controlled the populace via the use of explosives and terror.
The CJNG has expanded its reach to 28 of the country’s 32 states and consolidated its position as the leading gang in 6 states, including Jalisco, its native homeland.
Violence, kidnapping, and the subsequent disposal of human remains have long been hallmarks of Mexico’s drug gangs. Government officials claim low murder rates because this tactic helps them avoid attracting attention.
Most recently, in an interview with 60 Minutes, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) repeated the absurd assertion that homicide rates were decreasing under his administration. Violence has expanded in Mexico, and the president’s refusal to take on drug cartels is a contributing factor.
In 2022, the socialist López Obrador said there was no major security issue and implied that his opponents, whom he calls ‘the conservatives,’ were plotting political conspiracies against him.
