Bill Melugin, a reporter for Fox News, has spent many hours at the U.S. / Mexico border, covering the ever-increasing influx of illegal migrants.
American Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are among Mr. Melugin’s contacts. He has often relayed insights from people still fighting on the front lines.
According to his post to X, Melugin said there was no funding for U.S. border security in the $95 billion international assistance package that passed the House. This comes as the number of people crossing the border begins to grow again.
He then shared texts he received from his border patrol contacts:
They called the bill “unbelievable.” They wrote it was “messed up” and “devastating.”
Instead of limiting the White House’s many illegal immigration initiatives, the foreign assistance package that House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) pushed offers at least $481 million to help Democrats recruit more economic migrants to take jobs in American communities and businesses.
Since last August, voters’ pressure on Republican lawmakers has often thwarted President Joe Biden’s requests for election-year funds.
In the Ukraine plan that the establishment crafted, the country would get around $20 billion in economic help, $16 billion in weaponry, and about $11 billion for American military activities and surveillance near the country.
The law also states that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will receive up to September 30, 2025, an extra $481,000,000 for “Refugee and Entrant Assistance.” This money will be used for programs that help refugees and entrants, as permitted under sections 414 and 501 of the Refugee Education Assistance Act from 1980.
Many funds will end up in Democrat-controlled cities like New York and Boston, where the intentional influx of migrants serves to displace native-born citizens.
Additional funding of $300 million for Ukrainian border guards is also included in the plan.
