Nancy Pelosi Claims SCOTUS Has ‘Gone Rogue’ in Interview

It is no secret that the United States has experienced a lengthy period of economic and political unrest over the last several years. Politically, the judicial institutions appear to have been heavily politicized in a worrying development. In an unprecedented act, the former president Donald Trump was removed from the primary ballot in the state of Colorado after the states Supreme Court questionably cited the 14th amendment and claimed Trump committed an “insurrection” against the United States. Trump claimed he did not enjoy due process rights guaranteed by the 5th amendment. Ultimately, the Supreme Court eventually intervened in a unanimous decision and overturned Colorado’s controversial decision, allowing Trump to appear on the ballot.

However, since this occurrence, Trump has been convicted of a felony in the state of New York in association with a hush-money case and the adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Trump continues to face a plethora of other legal charges and has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees simply to battle many of these judicial developments. The 2024 election appears to be a current dead-heat, with the incumbent President Joe Biden deadlocked with Donald Trump. Both are unpopular, and the election is likely to be decided by crucial swing states like Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, and others.

More Americans are feeling uncertain about the political stability of the nation than arguably ever before in the history of the country. Politicians on both sides of the political aisle (like Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Chuck Schumer, Matt Gaetz, and Nancy Pelosi among others) continue to make inflammatory comments, furthering the divide. Nancy Pelosi, a career Democrat politician, recently claimed the Supreme Court “went rogue” because she has disagreed politically with their rulings. Comments like this would have been deemed unprecedented and unacceptable in previous years. The politicization of the judiciary continues, and the integrity of America’s institutions of law and governance continues to deteriorate.
