U.S. Intel Goes Against What Biden Has Said All Along

(FreedomBeacon.com)-According to administration sources, President Joe Biden’s dire warning that a nuclear “Armageddon” is imminent was intended to convey a clear message that no one should minimize the extreme threat posed by Russia’s use of tactical nuclear weapons in its conflict with Ukraine.

The president’s somber judgment at a Democratic fundraiser on Thursday night sent shockwaves throughout the world and seemed to go beyond what was currently considered possible by American intelligence agencies. According to U.S. security authorities, there is no proof that Vladimir Putin is about to launch a nuclear attack.

After his typical fundraising speech, Biden diverted to the discussion of Ukraine, claiming that Putin “is not kidding when he warns about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons.”

Since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis, “we have not confronted the possibility of Armageddon,” he said. Because Putin’s military “is — you may say — considerably underperforming,” he said, there is a serious danger from him.

Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, did not explicitly react to a question on whether Biden had intended to mention Armageddon before the event on Friday as the White House explained the president’s spontaneous remarks.

She informed reporters that Russia’s threats to deploy nuclear weapons were reckless and that there was no possibility of doing so without unforeseen consequences. It is not possible. “If the Cuban missile crisis has taught us anything, it’s the importance of lowering nuclear danger and refraining from using it,” she said.

There is some worry in the administration that Russia has decided it can use its nuclear arsenal in a way short of a “full-blown” nuclear attack on Ukraine and face only minimal repercussions.

In an interview with CBS, President Biden said U.S. troops would protect Taiwan in the case of a Chinese invasion. This statement had to be walked back.

The White House recanted after Biden began referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “war criminal.”
