President Joe Biden has recently been accused by many GOP politicians of a mass pardoning, or amnesty, of hundreds of thousands of illegal migrant immigration cases. President Biden has recently declared that he will grant citizenship to many illegal immigrants through multiple exceptions, such as being married to a U.S. citizen. Many believe Biden is acting on border matters after almost 3 and a half years of an immigration crisis between the U.S. and Mexico to help garner more votes for the upcoming election. Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, however, vows to completely reverse Biden’s new policy if he is elected in November.
Former President Trump spoke at a rally in Wisconsin this past Tuesday where he stated that Biden’s new push to loosen up on immigration laws is “illegal” and “unconstitutional”. Trump further stated that the new policy was a betrayal to Americans and that the executive action will not last long if Trump is elected again. Trump doubled down on his claims by noting that Biden’s policy had not been approved by Congress, or voters for that matter, and would end the first day Trump is back in office.
Trump continued at his rally that Biden’s new policy is another “radical vision” that the current President has for America, and is another way to gain political points by allowing migrants who are in America illegally to have voting rights. Not long before Trump’s Wisconsin rally, Biden announced pardoning half a million illegal immigrants with the exception that they are married to a U.S. citizen and have been in America for at least 10 years.
Not only has former President Trump vowed to extinguish Biden’s new immigration policy if he is elected, but has also previously declared the largest deportation of immigrants immediately after he is re-elected. During his campaign, Donald Trump stated that the majority of illegal immigrants coming to America have violent criminal backgrounds.
