This Facebook “Fact-Check” Is Causing Panic…

(FreedomBeacon.com)- A senior research fellow with the American Institute of Economic Research was flagged by Facebook when he was at odds with the Biden administration’s narrative over what constitutes a recession, according to Fox News.

Phillip Magness posted a screenshot of the White House website where they were trying to redefine “recession.” That was enough to be flagged by the social media giant that he claims carries water for the Biden political agenda.

“Economists have typically defined this term as two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth,” he said, adding, “And yet, just sharing that caused Facebook to flag it and put a fact-check notice on my page.”

Magness called Politifact a “partisan actor” working with the administration. He then took aim at the administration’s failures to acknowledge inflation, criticizing what Biden calls “transitory.”

“Now they’re finding themselves at a nine percent year-over-year projected inflation rate and now they’re trying to play catch-up,” he said, “but they’re playing catch-up very ineffectively, going back to the same tax and spend habits that have been a part of the Joe Biden agenda from the beginning.”

Inflation has reached 9.1% in June, chipping away at consumers’ paycheck and spending power as prices of goods continue to increase. The Federal Reserve has raised the interest rate by three-quarters of a point last week to combat inflation.

Earlier this year, Biden touted success in reducing inflation as the prices of food and gas were momentarily declining, saying that this “demonstrates that we are making progress in slowing the rate of price increases.” Six months later and the big tech has to do the administration’s bidding to keep undesirable information out of the reach of Americans.

This is not the first time the federal government’s political agenda is pursued with big tech. Prior to being shut down, the Department of Homeland Security’s “Disinformation Governance Board” reportedly colluded with Twitter to censor and block those who shared the Hunter Biden laptop story, according to Washington Free Beacon.
