(FreedomBeacon.com)- On Monday, the ladies from “The View” went to bat for Vice President Kamala Harris after nominal “conservative” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin questioned Harris’ accomplishments as Biden’s Veep.
Her colleague Sunny Hostin objected to Griffin’s characterization of Harris and claimed that most of the criticism of the Vice President stems from the fact that she is a black woman. Saying she is surprised that anyone would be concerned about Kamala’s accomplishments, Hostin noted that black women can do everything. She argued that it was black women who “saved this country’s democracy for centuries.”
The supposed conservative Griffin back-peddled slightly, conceding that Kamala Harris is “obviously amazing,” but asked Hostin what Kamala has done “specifically.”
A defensive Hostin explained that Kamala served in the US Senate and was the Attorney General of California, prompting Griffin to clarify that she meant what specifically has Kamala accomplished as Vice President of the United States.
Hostin mentioned the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, then pivoted to former Vice President Mike Pence.
When co-host Sara Haines pointed out Kamala’s repeated flubs and awkward moments, her colleague Ana Navarro tried to burnish Kamala’s image by claiming that the Veep’s frequent gaffes were all taken out of context. A defensive Navarro explained that even Winston Churchill could be made to look stupid if a video of him speaking was taken out of context.
The reticence to see the unaccomplished Kamala Harris either at the top of the ticket or as Biden’s running mate in 2024 isn’t just coming from people who criticize her because she is a black woman. It is coming from every corner, including from members of the Democrat party.
In a January interview with a Boston radio station, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren refused to explicitly endorse Kamala Harris as Biden’s 2024 running mate.
That lack of a full-throated endorsement infuriated the thin-skinned Harris who has reportedly refused to take a single call from Warren, according to CNN.
