(FreedomBeacon.com)- In the wake of the catastrophic train crash and environmental disaster, Joy Behar stated that the people of East Palestine were getting what they deserved, or at least what they had voted for.
Residents worry about chemicals seeping into the ground and smoke from subsequent fires that introduced poisons into the air and water supplies for months or years to come that may kill them.
The vile Behar said on ABC’s “The View” that the voters in those states just saw the logical outcome of their own decisions since former President Donald Trump backed deregulation across most sectors, and those citizens largely voted for Trump.
In other words, Behar is telling the people of East Palestine that they got exactly what they deserved for voting for Trump.
Even if that is true, saying they deserve misery and death is despicable.
Kicking off the discussion, co-host Sunny Hostin praised Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for not visiting East Palestine until almost three weeks after the train crashed.
She said he wasn’t just posing for the camera but really getting things done.
A day before Buttigieg arrived in East Palestine, former President Trump went there with trucks full of goods and clean drinking water. Hostin then blasted Trump, saying that his visit was a show like when he tossed paper towels to people in Puerto Rico.
Co-host Sara Haines rebutted sanely, stating it didn’t matter who brought the water in as long as the people needed it.
Behar shifted gears and attacked Republicans, arguing that the only reason airplanes are safe is because of government oversight and imposed regulations.
Even when the Republican host, Alyssa Farah Griffin, reminded everyone that Norfolk Southern had pushed Democrats and Republicans for weaker rules and had given heavily to President Joe Biden’s campaign, Behar stood firm.
She gestured dismissively toward the camera and added, “That’s who you voted for.”
