(FreedomBeacon.com)- After President Joe Biden wasted the last 20 years of American occupation of Afghanistan, stranded hundreds of Americans in the country with no hope of returning to America safely, left tens of billions of dollars worth of military equipment in the country, and effectively handed the government over to the Taliban, the militant Jihadist organizations declared victory on Tuesday.
All American troops have officially left Afghanistan as of August 31 – a deadline imposed by the Taliban as insurgents took control of the country and forced Afghanistan government officials to flee the country.
A group of Taliban fighters marched into Kabul’s international airport, where suicide bombs have already killed hundreds of innocent Afghan people and more than a dozen American military personnel, wearing camouflage and posing for photographs and smiling.
A Taliban official by the name of Hekmatuhha Wasiq told reporters from the Associated Press that “Afghanistan is finally free” and that both the military and civilian sections of the airport are now under full Taliban control.
Incredibly, they even announced that they will soon be announcing their Cabinet and that “Everything is peaceful, everything is safe.”
It…doesn’t sound like everything is safe.
There will be no elections, of course. The Taliban is not a democratic body and expects to transform Afghanistan into a Sharia state, meaning the country will be run according to Sharia law and the teachings of the Qur’an.
Zabihullah Mujahid, another Taliban spokesperson, told those present at the airport on Tuesday to be “very cautious” in dealing with people across Afghanistan and reminded them that the country has “suffered war and invasion.”
Translation: Afghanistan has been protected for the last 20 years from barbaric Jihadists.
President Joe Biden brought the Afghanistan War to an end on Monday, with the final C-17 leaving Hamid Karzai International Airport at 3:30 pm ET. Some 123,000 people – including Afghans and Americans – were evacuated from the country.
Hundreds of Americans remain.
