Stalker Arrested After Reportedly Spotted at Emma Watson’s College

A man who allegedly showed up at the school where Emma Watson was enrolled on June 26 was subsequently apprehended by the authorities.

An American man named Chad Michael Busto, 44, was taken into custody at Oxford on suspicion of trying to find Emma Watson, who is pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing.

Locals reported Busto for asking people at the institution where Watson was.

Busto has spoken out from the Colnbrook Immigration Centre close to Heathrow. He was previously arrested in September 2023 for a disturbance at a New York fashion event when he declared his intention to marry Watson. He insisted all he wanted to do was get in touch with Watson and talk about a case he had won in 2021.

Busto claims he merely went to the English department and had conversations with people. He said he went to the admissions office in an effort to gather information. He admits he wanted to talk to Watson, but he finds it essential to point out that the complaints have been from other people, not Emma Watson.

Despite his denials, the stalker has been the subject of major criticism for the way he treats famous people. A month before the events involving Watson, he was already in trouble for trying to approach Drew Barrymore, another actress. Busto was released without bond after pleading not guilty to trespass and disorderly conduct following his latest detention.

It was Busto’s stated goal to visit several government agencies in London, therefore on June 12 he departed from Boston and arrived at Heathrow. The Sun reports that he alleged he was sleeping in a church in Oxford and that he is being unfairly held.

The 44-year-old American male is presently free on suspicion of stalking, according to the police.

At the Ralph Lauren fashion show event at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Busto made a scene that led to his detention.

Busto allegedly stormed into the dressing room of the fashion show and yelled out, “I want to marry Emma Watson!”

It is unclear whether Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, attended the fashion show. Julianne Moore, James Marsden, and Jennifer Lopez were among the other famous people there that day.

Following tips that he was cycling up and down private driveways in an apparent hunt for Barrymore, Busto was once apprehended in Southampton Town, Long Island.
