Chelsea Belle O’Donnell, the daughter of comedian and former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell, was arrested on September 17 for child neglect and drug possession, following a disturbing incident involving her 11-month-old son. Authorities were called to O’Donnell’s home in Marinette, Wisconsin, after a domestic dispute between her and her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund, escalated.
When officers arrived, they noted that O’Donnell appeared under the influence, with dilated pupils, and quickly discovered drug paraphernalia in the home. A meth pipe was found in her pocket, and more concerningly, several meth-related items were discovered in her son’s room, including used hypodermic needles, some of which were filled with blood. According to the police report, a meth bong and various other drug-related items were easily accessible to the baby, raising grave concerns about the child’s safety.

The situation escalated when police searched the home, finding evidence of drug trafficking, including scales, bags of methamphetamine, and other drug paraphernalia. The home was described as being in “horrible” condition, with trash, rotting food, and drug materials scattered throughout.
O’Donnell, who has struggled with addiction for years, was charged with four felony counts, including maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, and possession of methamphetamine. She was later found with additional drugs and paraphernalia during a traffic stop in October, leading to further charges. The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
Rosie O’Donnell, in a statement to Page Six, expressed sadness over the situation, stating, “Sadly, this is not new for our family — Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade.”
