(FreedomBeacon.com)- Democrats are investigating Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for flying two planes full of illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, while Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker (R) is applauding this.
DeSantis flew two aircraft to Martha’s Vineyard late last week, carrying 50 illegal aliens. When Martha’s Vineyard officials proclaimed a “humanitarian crisis” less than 48 hours after their arrival, Baker stepped in to arrange for the illegal immigrants to be bused to Joint Base Cape Cod.
DeSantis flying the illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard is the subject of a criminal inquiry, according to Bexar County, Texas, Sheriff Javier Salazar (D).
Salazar remarked that he thinks they were preyed upon. Someone from outside the state preyed on these folks and enticed them with promises of a better life, which is exactly what they were seeking.
According to MassLive, Baker now appears to be supporting Democrat inquiries into DeSantis’ delivery of illegal aliens to the doorsteps of the Democratic Party’s wealthiest donors.
When asked if he thought a crime had been committed, Baker said, “I don’t know.”
Baker told reporters in downtown Boston on Tuesday morning that it is up to the authorities to figure out what did and didn’t happen.
“I’m delighted the sheriff decided to launch an investigation. I believe that is the proper course of action,” the quisling Governor proclaimed.
President Joe Biden has bused and flown well over a million border crossers and illegal aliens into working and middle-class American towns since he took office in January 2021, prompting concern over DeSantis’ flight of 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.
To put things in perspective, the 50 illegal immigrants that just arrived on Martha’s Vineyard account for just 0.001 percent of the illegal immigration that border towns in America have seen since Biden took office.
A few illegal immigrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard by DeSantis have launched a class action lawsuit against the governor, alleging that their Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights were violated, similar to the criminal investigation by Bexar County.
By suing, DeSantis and other Republican governors, it is hoped to stop them from sending illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities like Martha’s Vineyard, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
