Regional Account of Border Patrol Agents Turned Of

(FreedomBeacon.com)- After reposting tweets from a former Trump administration policy adviser criticizing President Joe Biden’s border policies, the official Twitter account for U.S. Customs, and Border Protection operations in the West Texas region is scheduled to be shut down.

On September 10, CBP commissioner Chris Magnus posted a statement on social media stating that the organization had become aware of unauthorized and inappropriate content posted to the account. Magnus said CBP would take action to deactivate the account and has referred the matter to the Office of Professional Responsibility to investigate.

The tweets, according to Magnus, do not reflect the ideals of this administration or our work to reestablish a humanitarian, orderly, and safe immigration system.

Magnus said that it was “very inappropriate and regrettable” that “offensive, unlawful content” was retweeted using any CBP Twitter account.

Although the most recent tweet on the account, West Texas CBP, dates back to July 6, and the most recent retweets appear to have been deleted, the account is still operational as of September 12.

The account retweeted messages by Stephen Miller, a former senior adviser to Donald Trump, criticizing Biden’s immigration policy and accusing the media of remaining silent on Biden’s “eradication of our border,” among other posts that were shared by the account.

In one of the tweets, Miller stated that violent criminals lay waste to our neighborhoods unchecked while the tremendous force of the state is arrayed against people whose only crime is dissent. The law has changed from serving as a shield to save the defenseless to serving as a sword to subjugate them. The media’s greatest strength is its capacity to portray what constitutes a serious national crisis (such as the summer of 20’s ‘cops are racist’) and what does not. With Biden’s removal of our border, over 250 years of constitutional rule have ended, making us no longer a Republic.
“Yet,” Miller noted in the tweet, “the media remains silent.”

Republican senators have frequently accused Biden of fostering the present immigration issue with his failed border policy.

Nearly 5 million illegal immigrants have entered the country in the 18 months since Biden took office, according to a report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) that was released last month. This figure includes 900,000 “gotaways” who managed to elude border patrol authorities.
