Reality TV Star In Severe Car Crash

(FreedomBeacon.com)- On November 12, 16-year-old reality TV star Grayson Chrisley was involved in a car crash that left him hospitalized, less than ten days before his parents were sentenced to prison.

The star of “Chrisley Knows Best” was driving on I-65N in Nashville when he slammed into the back of a vehicle that was at a complete stop in the lane of traffic, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police.

Police said when officers asked Chrisley what happened, he was unable to recall anything from the crash, leading them to suspect he suffered a head injury. The 16-year-old was transported to the hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle also suffered injuries from the crash but refused medical assistance.

Grayson’s parents and co-stars, Todd and Julie Chrisley discussed the incident during their November 17 “Chrisley Confessions” podcast. Todd said they got a call from their son after the crash and he immediately drove to the crash site, arriving as the paramedics were caring for Grayson.

Todd said Grayson’s car was totaled and the other vehicle was “significantly damaged” in the crash.

He then rode with his son to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where he stayed with him until he was released.

The crash occurred just days before Grayson Chrisley was scheduled to testify in Todd and Julie Christley’s November 21 sentencing hearing.

The couple was indicted in 2019 on charges of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

In June, Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty of fraud, including charges related to a tax evasion scheme that went on for years.

Both Todd and Julie denied all the charges against them.

On November 21, the judge sentenced Todd Chrisley to 12 years in prison and Julie to seven years. Their sentences also include three years supervised release and an order to pay restitution in an amount to be determined later.

The couple plans to appeal their convictions.
