Putin Reportedly Loves Lauren Boebert

(FreedomBeacon.com)- Russia loves to use GOP congress members, including Rep. Lauren Boebert, for their propaganda, according to a report from the defense and national security website 19FortyFive. Russia has sought to create tension within the United States as part of its asymmetric assault on our democracy by using trolls and bots focusing on controversial topics found on social media.

Some lawmakers are reportedly playing along.

After Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Capitol to give a speech to Congress during a joint session, some Republicans refused to stand up during certain moments of standing ovations. Russian state TV shared the images of Reps. Boebert and Gaetz sitting down as other Republicans and Democratic lawmakers gave a hearty round of applause to Zelensky.

Russian TV host and Kremlin propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov reportedly praised the two Republicans for being the “brave ones.”

“They demonstratively remained seated and didn’t jump up. You can feel the fatigue in Washington over the boundless aid to Ukraine,” he said, referring to the additional $45 billion the U.S. is sending Ukraine as part of its $1.7 trillion spending package rammed through Congress.

Boebert has been a vocal critic of Zelensky and the U.S.’s desire to spend tens of billions of dollars funding its war.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has also been a favorite mouthpiece of the Russians. Carlson previously questioned why the U.S. would take Kyiv’s side in the war rather than Moscow’s and the clip has since been broadcasted to millions of Russians.

Russian state media circulated the clips despite protests against the partial mobilization of reservist units in September. Russia continues to use clips of Carlson to promote its war in Ukraine.

In one segment on his show, Carlson reportedly said that Ukraine could not win the war with Russia and if they wanted to “remain a sovereign country—and of course, all of us wanted that—Ukraine was going to have to reach some kind of negotiated settlement with Russia.”
