P*rnstars for Kamala! VP Just Earned An Endorsement She Shouldn’t Want

Can you think of a worse industry to endorse a presidential campaign than the adult entertainment industry?

Well, ok, there’s Big Pharma. But Big Pharma endorsed Kamala Harris, too.

At a glance:

  • The porn industry has launched a $100,000 ad campaign called “Hands Off My Porn” aimed at opposing the conservative Project 2025.
  • Project 2025, a policy proposal backed by Republicans, allegedly seeks to ban pornography and criminalize those involved in its production.
  • The campaign targets seven swing states and aims to persuade younger male voters, a key demographic, to support Kamala Harris.

In an unexpected move, the porn industry has entered the 2024 U.S. presidential campaign with a $100,000 ad campaign titled “Hands Off My Porn.” This effort is aimed at opposing a conservative policy blueprint called Project 2025, spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation. The industry claims that Project 2025, if enacted, would lead to a nationwide ban on pornography and the potential criminalization of individuals involved in the production of adult content.

Remember, though, that Project 2025 is largely a figment of the Democrats’ imaginations, as former President Trump has completely dismissed the proposal.

Seventeen pornographic film actors have banded together to launch the campaign, regardless of the fact that Trump doesn’t endorse Project 2025. The campaign will target seven key swing states that are likely to determine the outcome of the election: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. The ads will run on prominent adult websites in these states, where they hope to influence a crucial demographic in the election—young male voters, who are statistically the most frequent consumers of pornography.

According to data from the Survey Center on American Life, 44% of men aged 18-29 and 57% of men aged 30-49 had watched pornography within the past month, making them a significant portion of the voting population. The campaign strategists are counting on this demographic to be swayed by concerns over a possible future where pornography could be outlawed under Project 2025.

Holly Randall, a well-known veteran in the adult film industry, has been particularly vocal about the stakes involved, stating that Project 2025 represents the most extreme attack on the industry she has ever seen. “We cannot simply rely on precedent that consuming pornography is legal and has been legal for a long time,” Randall warned, urging voters to take the threat seriously.

The campaign also highlights that Vice President Kamala Harris, who is trailing former President Donald Trump among male voters, might benefit from this outreach. The strategy behind the ad campaign is to pull younger men away from Trump and encourage them to vote for the Democratic ticket, particularly by focusing on concerns about personal freedoms and government overreach.

How little they think of young men…

This unusual foray by the porn industry into the political arena illustrates the wide-reaching implications of Project 2025 and the battle for voters in key swing states. The campaign serves as a reminder that the 2024 election will see unconventional tactics and unexpected players aiming to sway public opinion in a highly contested race.

Let’s just assume that every awful industry is supporting the Democrats this year.
