(FreedomBeacon.com)- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s partisan select committee, which she claims is working to understand the origins of the January 6 riot in Washington, D.C., was always doomed to fail. People recognize that it’s partisan, that the Republicans involved only want to hurt Donald Trump as much as the Democrats do, and polls have repeatedly shown that the American people don’t want politicians to waste time on this.
And it looks like the people might soon get what they want, with news reports suggesting that the committee could be headed to court.
While some lawsuits are already ongoing, three more high-profile individuals connected to the committee and the “investigation” have started their own lawsuits against the committee and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – including Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, United States Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, and broadcaster Alex Jones.
Reports suggest that retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn has requested a restraining order against Pelosi and the committee, citing the fact that he “did not organize, speak at, or actively participate in any rallies or protests in Washington, D.C., on January 6, 2021.”
Rep. Perry is joining Flynn in refusing to comply with a subpoena from the committee, insisting that the group is not legitimate.
“I stand with immense respect for our Constitution, the Rule of Law, and the Americans I represent who know that this entity is illegitimate, and not duly constituted under the rules of the US House of Representatives,” Rep. Perry said in a Tweet.
(2//2) I decline this entity’s request and will continue to fight the failures of the radical Left who desperately seek distraction from their abject failures of crushing inflation, a humiliating surrender in Afghanistan, and the horrendous crisis they created at our border.

He added that he is denying a request by the committee to appear before it and that he will “continue to fight the failures of the radical Left who desperately seek distraction from their abject failures of crushing inflation, a humiliating surrender in Afghanistan, and the horrendous crisis they created at our border.”
And finally, Alex Jones has sued the January 6 committee to block them from forcing him to testify and obtaining his telephone records…because why on earth do they need to see this broadcaster’s private records?
Even left-wing media outlets like Politico have admitted that the committee is looking at a “flood” of litigation from a multitude of people – and we’ll be sure to update you on these suits as they proceed.
