Miley Cyrus recently hosted her mother Tish’s wedding to the British-born Australian actor Dominic Purcell in her lavish Malibu mansion. Cyrus led her mother down the aisle.
Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, is a country music icon. Billy Ray and Tish were married for almost 28 years, but after many legal battles, their divorce was finalized in 2023.
Tish’s two children from a previous relationship, Brandi, 36, and Trace, 34, attended the wedding and posed for stunning family portraits with two of Purcell’s four children for Vogue Weddings.
Following the adoption of Brandi and Trace, Billy Ray and Tish had three more children: Miley (now 30), Braison (now 29), and Noah (now 23). From a previous relationship, Billy Ray has a son named Christopher Cody.
Braison and Noah’s absences stood out as highly conspicuous. Noah wore a Billy Ray tee while he and his brother allegedly spent their mother’s wedding day shopping at Walmart and blogging about it in an Instagram story.
Fans on social media continued to speculate that a rift had emerged between the siblings and their parents, despite a source telling “Entertainment Tonight” that “there is no family conflict amongst Tish, Noah, and Braison.”
Billy Ray is now engaged to Firerose, a 34-year-old singer he met while filming “Hannah Montana” (Miley’s and Billy Ray’s successful Disney Channel program).
“My mom has always been in the background,” Miley said of Tish in an interview with Vogue. From my first cheering competition to my last, she was the one who always helped me get ready for the big days. She has always been incredibly proud of me and encouraging of my choices. Now that I’m older, I’m pleased to be that person for her.
Miley said since the married couple’s first meeting, they have both begun to age backward. Her mother seems much more stunning than she did before. She said it was a day as extraordinary and enchanted as they come, and she will never forget the day she got to stand next to her mom and give her away to Dom.
Tish described her wedding as “like I was in a dream.” “The most heartwarming fairy tale imaginable.”
