(FreedomBeacon.com)- U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris met with constitutional law, privacy, and technology experts on Tuesday over the possible overruling of Roe v. Wade. The 1973 Supreme Court decision created the fictitious constitutional right to an abortion.
A White House official said that the meeting will discuss the real-life implications concerning privacy, contraception, and in vitro fertilization, should Roe be overturned, according to Reuters. The participants reportedly included law professors from New York University, Harvard and Michigan University.
The official also said that the engagement is part of the vice president’s continued work to protect the “health, safety, and wellbeing of women.” This is a significant claim considering not even the new Affirmative Action hire Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson can define what a woman is.
During the meeting, the vice president read from a script that the United States was founded on certain principles of “freedom, liberty, and self-determination.” She said that these principles were at stake and “we should prepare for the right of privacy to be attacked.”
While the right to life was not mentioned, Harris added that the overturn of Roe could lead to privacy-related issues. States might open records of women and criminalize previous abortions, and varying definitions of viability might restrict certain contraceptives, like IUDs and the “morning-after” pill.
The Supreme Court is currently deliberating Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, where the latter disputes a Mississippi state abortion law prohibiting abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. Ruling on viability positions the Court to potentially overturn Roe which simply upholds the constitutionality of abortion.
In a recent incident, a 98-page majority opinion drafted by Justice Samuel Alito was leaked regarding the unconstitutionality of Roe v. Wade. The leak sent pro-abortion advocates in a frenzy as the overrule appears to be imminent; however, the draft may not reflect the final decision.
As protests are erupting outside of the conservative Justices’ homes, one armed man with a pistol was arrested after allegedly plotting to kill Justice Kavanaugh believing he would loosen gun control.
How ironic.
