John McCain’s Daughter Is “Heartbroken” Over Whoopi Goldberg’s Holocaust Comment

(FreedomBeacon.com)- Whoopi Goldberg is back on our screens after making disgusting and inaccurate claims about the Holocaust just a few weeks ago, but what we never talked about was how Meghan McCain responded to her comments.

Here’s a reminder of what happened.

During an episode of The View, co-host Whoopi Goldberg attempted to claim that the Holocaust was not about race, but was actually just a case of white people warring with white people. It prompted Whoopi to issue an apology on her Twitter and appear on late-night television groveling and trying to justify her claims.

“On Todays’ show, I said the Holocaust ‘is not about race, but about man’s inhumanity to man.’ I should have said it is about both,” she said.

McCain, the daughter of the late Senator John McCain, seemed genuinely shocked that Whoopi would say something so vile. Others were…not so shocked.

In a tweet on February 1, the former co-host of The View issued a statement on Twitter about the incident.

“I hate commenting on my old employer because I have moved in every way a person can move on,” she said, referencing her decision to leave the show in July last year.

“That being said I am an activist against antisemitism and it is a big part of my life…The growing threat is real and virulent and everywhere. I am heartbroken about what was said,’ she wrote.

Let’s face it, though…Whoopi probably doesn’t care. Goldberg enjoyed the luxury of saying something grotesque on live television without being canceled. Republicans are treated much worse for saying much, much less – McCain included.
