Jim Jordan says he has ‘real concerns’ with Jan. 6 panel after sit-down request

(FreedomBeacon.com)- On Wednesday, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio expressed his “real concerns” about the extremist House select committee – which is targeting Republicans with a vile smear that says former President Donald Trump incited a violent insurrection.

Speaking on Fox News Primetime, Jordan told Brian Kilmeade that he received a letter that day from the committee, and then accused the committee of altering documents being reviewed by the committee as they claim to be investigating the origins of the riot.

“We’re going to review the letter but I gotta be honest with you, I got real concerns about any committee that will take a document and alter it and present it to the American people…completely mislead the American people like they did last week,” he said.

He was referencing a hearing that took place earlier in December in which far-left Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff read part of a text that was forwarded by Jordan to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. The text, which Schiff said came from a lawmaker, said that then-Vice President Mike Pence had the authority to – and should have – called out of the electoral votes that he believed were unconstitutional and discounted them as illegitimate.

Why is it Democrats act as though asking the vice president to discount electors that come from fraudulent elections – or compromised elections – is a bad thing?

The House Select Committee had communicated with Jordan, requesting further documentation and testimony relating to their claim that he communicated with then-President Donald Trump about such plans.

If Rep. Jordan has issues with this committee, then it’s not without reason.
