(FreedomBeacon.com)- A retired three-star general who had been a “senior mentor” at the Pentagon was suspended from his consulting job with the Army pending an investigation into his reply to a tweet from First Lady, Jill Biden.
Ret. Lt. General Gary Volesky had replied to a June 24 tweet from FLOTUS in which Mrs. Biden lamented the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.
In her tweet, Jill kvetched about how women had the right to “make our own decisions about our bodies” for fifty years and now the SCOTUS stole it from them. She vowed that women would not be silent or “sit back” while “the progress we have already won slips away.”
In his tweet, Volesky succinctly replied, “Glad to see you finally know what a woman is.”
That’s it. That’s all he wrote.
He didn’t attack the military. He didn’t attack the top brass. He didn’t attack the Commander-in-Chief. He didn’t even attack Jill Biden.
But for that tweeted reply, Army Lt. Gen. Theodore Martin, the commander of the Combined Arms Center, placed Volesky under investigation and suspended him from his $92 an hour consulting job pending the results of the Army’s “investigation.”
Ret. Lt. General Gary Volesky received the Silver Star for gallantry in Iraq. But he makes a snarky reply to Jill Biden’s melodramatic tweet and now the Army is conducting an investigation?
