(FreedomBeacon.com)- A private gathering of Democratic donors on Saturday saw First Lady Jill Biden express her displeasure with President Joe Biden’s budding agenda, according to a CNN story.
According to the first lady, her husband entered the administration with “hopes and plans” for how he wanted to build the future of the country, but those ambitions had been derailed by “the challenges of the day,” she said, explaining this to donors in Nantucket, Massachusetts.
At a small meeting of approximately two dozen people in a private residence, Jill stated that the President had many ambitions and plans for things he wanted to achieve, but every time he turned around, he had to face the present challenges.
Unlike other Presidents who managed to be successful?
As examples of obstacles to the president advancing his program, Biden cited the conflict in Ukraine, the most recent spate of horrific murders in the United States, and the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
According to CNN, Biden stated that he’s simply had so many things hurled at him.
“Who could have imagined that Roe v. Wade would be overturned by the Supreme Court? Even if we may have anticipated it, we didn’t believe it would happen. The amount of gun violence in our nation is horrifying. The conflict in Ukraine surprised us.”
CNN said that while Democrats are failing to keep their Party together, Biden transferred part of the responsibility for the President’s delayed agenda onto Republicans in the Democrat-led Congress. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) struck President Biden’s Build Back Better program earlier this week with another setback when he declined to back Democratic legislation addressing climate change and tax increases.
Biden talked about her displeasure with her husband’s struggles and the difficulties she faced as a first lady.
“Okay, I was the second lady, I was telling myself. In community colleges, I worked. In military families, I worked. I’ve dealt with cancer. They were intended to be my main areas of attention. But once we arrived at the White House, I had to assume the role of the first lady of the hour given everything that was going on,” the whiny Jill Biden said.
The first lady’s remarks follow a recent New York Times/Siena College survey in which President Joe Biden’s popularity rating plummeted to a pitiful 33 percent. According to the same study, 64% of Democrats want a candidate other than the president to represent them in the 2024 presidential election.
