(FreedomBeacon.com)- A former Trump administration aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, testified in the January 6 hearing that she heard that Trump lunged at a secret service agent, assaulting him in order to get a hold of the steering wheel. But the partisan committee composed of Democrats and one very antiquated Liz Cheney will not take steps to verify the testimony, even after the story has been debunked especially since secret service agents were willing to testify against Hutchinson.
The issue, however, is that the committee reportedly does not want to hear any testimonies that contradict Hutchinson’s claim.
Hutchinson told the committee that former deputy chief of staff for operations, Tony Ornato, told her that the former president attempted to take control of the steering wheel after the secret service denied his request to go back to the Capitol during the protests. Ornato himself was shocked that Hutchinson made the claim and is willing to testify that he never said anything of the sort.
The committee has since said that they would be willing to hear from anyone who wanted to testify under oath, but they have not made any effort to contact the secret service or Ornato. Even the RINO Representative Adam Kinzinger said that anyone who wanted to dispute the claim should not go through the media but testify.
We find [Hutchinson] credible and anybody that wants to cast disparagement on that, that was firsthand present should come and also testify under oath and not through anonymous sources, quote unquote, and not potentially being an anonymous source,” he told CNN. Of course, he would be on CNN.
Kinzinger then doubted Ornato by bringing up comments from other officials in order to portray the former chief of staff as a liar. “There seems to be a major thread here… Tony Ornato likes to lie,” Kinzinger tweeted.
Cheney then proceeded to comment that any doubt one may have of Hutchinson is equivalent to a character assassination.
“The Committee is not going to stand by and watch her character be assassinated by anonymous sources and by men who are claiming executive privilege. And so we look forward very much to additional testimony under oath on a whole range of issues,” the warmonger said on ABC.
The committee has refused to comment on actions they have made to corroborate Hutchinson’s statements. It appears that making such an effort would be beyond their goal to simply put on Democratic theater.
