(JustPatriots.com)- Ivana Trump, the first wife of former President Donald Trump, passed away at her home in New York on Wednesday at 73, according to a post that her ex-husband made on his platform, Truth Social, on Thursday.
The former President wrote with a heavy heart that he had to convey the terrible news that Ivana Trump passed away peacefully at her home in New York City. He said she was adored by a very large number of people. She was a fantastic, outstanding, and stunning woman who had a life that was remarkable and a source of motivation for others. Her three children—Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric—were the sources of her greatest happiness. She was bursting with pride for them, just as everyone was bursting with pride for her. ”Ivana, may you finally rest in peace.”
Ivana Trump was born in 1949 in what was then the Czechoslovak Republic. While living and working as a model in New York City, she became acquainted with her second husband, Donald Trump. The couple tied the knot in 1977 and had three children before deciding to end their marriage in 1992.
She established lines of apparel and cosmetic products shortly after the divorce was finalized.
Her son Eric Trump wrote an article on his mother’s passing on the website Truth Social.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.
Eric said Ivana’s mother, her three children, and her ten grandchildren would all profoundly mourn her passing. He attached a picture of himself, Ivanka Trump, and Donald Trump Jr. when they were younger with their respective parents.
Ivanka Trump has also expressed her sorrow on her mother’s passing, saying that she is “heartbroken.”
“Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance,” she wrote on Twitter.
