Israel Urges US Not to Drop Terror Designation for Iran’s IRGC

(FreedomBeacon.com)- On Friday, Israel urged the Biden administration not to remove the terrorist designation for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as part of the United States’ continued negotiations with Iran over the failed Obama-era Nuclear Deal.

Sources familiar with negotiations with Iran said that the United States was considering removing the foreign terrorist organization’s official blacklist in exchange for agreements on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action – a deal designed to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett issued a joint statement with Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi explaining that they believe the United States “will not abandon its closest allies in exchange for empty promises from terrorists.”

Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world.

In the statement, the Israeli officials described how the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps has murdered thousands of innocent people all over the world, including Americans, and that Israel refuses to believe that the United States would make the bold decision to remove the terrorist organization designation against the IRGC.

The IRGC is more than just a military, but an entity that controls a vast business empire in Iran and has an elite, armed, and trained army of terrorists who carry out terror campaigns all over the world.

If the United States removed the terrorist designation against the IRGC, then it would effectively make the designation meaningless.

If the IRGC isn’t a terrorist organization, then…nothing is.
