Iran Dictator Says Trump Has Somehow Stained The Reputation Of America

(FreedomBeacon.com)- Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who leads the worst terrorism-supporting nation in the world, slammed both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump this week, claiming that they have both tarnished the reputation of the United States.

In a report from Iranian IRNA news agency on Tuesday, the Supreme Leader said that the United States these days is “being hit in ways it never computed.”

“The two American presidents – the current and former heads of state – have joined hands to tarnish the image of the United States,” he said.

He did not, however, go into detail about his claim or what he meant by it.

It was notable in that the Iranian leader rarely directly attacks or criticizes the United States.

It comes as indirect talks between the United States and Iran continue in Vienna, with European allies to the United States conducting negotiations on behalf of President Joe Biden to potentially bring the country back into alignment with the failed Obama-era Iran Nuclear Deal.

Former president Donald Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018, and President Joe Biden hopes that Iran may return to compliance and end its development of nuclear weapons.

Negotiations, however, are deadlocked. Iran refuses to comply with the deal unless the United States ends all economic sanctions placed on the country by former President Donald Trump. President Joe Biden has yet to capitulate to that demand.

In a tweet, Iranian security official Ali Shamkhani warned that the path to negotiations “will not be smooth” if the Biden White House maintains a “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran.

“Continuing maximum pressure against #Iran, current US administration has so far tried to meet the goals that Trump failed to achieve through bullying, by making unsupported promises. With this Washington’s illusions, the path to negotiations will not be smooth,” he said.

What do you think – will Biden just back down on this one?
