(FreedomBeacon.com)- According to a recent poll conducted by the Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports, a disturbingly high percentage of Democrat voters support enacting unbelievably tyrannical measures targeting the unvaccinated.
While 58 percent of voters overall oppose fining Americans for refusing the COVID vaccine, a mind-boggling 55 percent of Democrats support the idea. Only 19 percent of Republicans and 25 percent of non-affiliated voters are dumb enough to like the idea.
But wait. It gets worse.
Asked if they would favor a government policy that would require the unvaccinated to remain confined to their homes except for emergencies, 59 percent of Democrats were all for it. By a wide margin, Republicans (79 percent) and non-affiliated voters (71 percent) oppose home confinement.
A plurality of Democrats (48 percent) thinks state and federal governments should have the power to fine or jail anyone who questions the efficacy of the COVID vaccines. Yeah, really. Overall, only 27 percent of voters favor the idea, including only 14 percent of Republicans and 18 percent of non-affiliated voters.
Voters were also asked if they favored placing the unvaccinated in “a designated facility” away from the rest of the population. An alarming number of Democrats (45 percent) like the idea of doing to the unvaccinated what FDR did to the Japanese. These people are irreparably broken.
Republicans and non-affiliated voters meanwhile aren’t as insane as the Democrats, with 78 percent of Republicans and 64 percent of non-affiliated saying they “strongly oppose” COVID internment camps.
When asked if the government should use digital devices to track the unvaccinated to make sure they’re obeying COVID dictates, overall, 66 percent are opposed, but (big surprise here) 47 percent of Democrats are cool with it.
But most chilling, 29 percent of Democrat voters support the idea of temporarily removing children from their parents’ custody if the parents refuse to get vaccinated. While that percentage is markedly low compared to the other questions, it’s worth noting that it is still much more than double the other respondents. Only 7 percent of Republicans and 11 percent of non-affiliated vote support that level of insanity.
At the same time, however small the percentage might be, the fact that any Republican voters support a single one of these ideas should chill you to the bone.
