GOP Officials Probe Reports Of Escaping Refugees

( A group of 16 Republican Senators has signed a letter sent to controversial Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas demanding answers about President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

The letter, signed by Senators Joni Ernest, John Cornyn, Dan Sullivan, Thom Tillis, Marco Rubio and more, was sent in response to news that hundreds of Afghan evacuees are being allowed to leave American military bases without being fully vetted.

It could potentially mean that Islamic extremists or terrorists are making their way to the United States as a result of the Biden administration’s sympathy, naivete, and incompetence.

It notes that some 65,000 Afghan refugees have flown out of the country under president Joe Bidens’ orders and now reside in eight different military bases based in the United States.

The senators expressed their concern that the security vetting measures employed by the Biden administration are woefully inadequate in that they “remain unclear and incomplete.”

Wouldn’t you think that something as important as the safety of American citizens would be taken a little more seriously?

“The Biden Administration’s security vetting procedures to clear Afghans entering the country remain unclear and incomplete, and, unless changed, are insufficient to preserve the safety of the American homeland,” the letter reads.

The senators took action after reports revealed that hundreds of Afghan refugees were being allowed out of the U.S. military bases and into the country – often without being fully vetted and cleared.

Potentially over 700 unvetted Afghans have now left U.S. military facilities, according to Reuters.

In what universe is this OK?
