Fox News Attacks Trump for Criticizing Kayleigh McEnany

Brian Kilmeade didn’t hold back in strongly criticizing former President Donald Trump for his recent attacks directed at his former Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany while endorsing Ron DeSantis’s recent campaign speech.

Following McEnany’s appearance on Fox News, where she mentioned poll numbers from the 2024 Republican primary, Trump took to Truth Social to refute her claims, asserting that the numbers were inaccurate.

In a misspelled tweet, Trump said, “Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany of Fox News put out erroneous poll numbers on Fox. I am not 25 points up on DeSanctimonious, as she wrongly reported I’m correctly up 34 points which are great.

“He expressed his knowledge that the poll-conducting group had revised the number upward,” he stated in the post. “The RINOS & Globalists can keep her. Fox News should only feature genuine stars!”

While conservatives have defended McEnany against Trump’s attacks, Rep. Chip Roy used it to attack her during his Tuesday night appearance on a show she was hosting.

Kilmeade brought up the topic while discussing “subtle jabs at Trump” that he observed the Florida Governor making during a Tuesday stump speech in Iowa.

Kilmeade read from DeSantis’s prepared speech, “Restoring sanity means we need every major institution in our country to adhere to reality, facts, and our enduring principles,”

Kilmeade went on, “Three criticisms that touch on common weaknesses of the president. They claim you fabricate things. For instance, attacking Kayleigh McEnany is absurd. They say he quickly loses his temper.

McEnany was one of the best press secretaries ever to hold the position.

As Ari Fleischer would attest, Dana Perino was fantastic, but now she’s an analyst. She’s not affiliated with any campaign.”

The segment continued with discussing the divergent views on reproductive rights between Trump and DeSantis, which could become a decisive issue in the Iowa Caucus.

Trump has expressed his anger towards several of his past campaign aides and advisors following his defeat in 2020 to President Joe Biden.

Reportedly, McEnany intentionally distanced herself from Trump after his loss in the 2020 election because he desired her to discuss matters concerning the Dominion Voting Machine lawsuit.
