Former CIA Director Referred To Capitol Police By Senator

According to a news release published on Tuesday, a Republican senator who had received a threatening tweet from a former head of the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had reported the incident to U.S. Capitol Police.

Retired U.S. Air Force General Michael V. Hayden tweeted that Republican Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville should be ‘ [removed] from the human race.’

Tuberville’s office issued a press release expressing outrage at Hayden’s remark and detailing that he reported him to the US Capitol Police, the federal law enforcement agency tasked with protecting members of Congress after Hayden doubled down on his remark in response to criticism of his tweet.

Tuberville noted in the statement that General Hayden would be punished to the utmost extent allowed by the law if the United States still had a nonpolitical judicial system.

Under 18 U.S.C. § 115, threatening to attack, abduct, or kill an elected member of Congress is a crime if done to obstruct or intimidate them during official responsibilities. Up to 10 years in jail and a fine are possible penalties.

After his lengthy experience in Washington, General Hayden must have realized that making such a comment constituted a major offense. Tuberville said his attempts to reframe his words now constitute an implicit admission of guilt.

Tuberville also criticized Hayden’s NSA and CIA leadership in his press statement. In his view, General Hayden oversaw some of the worst intelligence failures in American history, including the terrorist attacks of September 11 and the Iraq Weapons of Mass Destruction fiasco.

Democrats have slammed Tuberville for denying unanimous consent to approve military candidates to general and flag officer positions in protest of a Department of Defense policy compensating service personnel for abortion travel in legal jurisdictions.

General Hayden took an active role in the Russia Hoax and lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop to get Joe Biden selected as president.

Falsehoods shattered our nation and tore it apart. Tuberville stated General Hayden cannot criticize anybody because his reputation was damaged long ago.

According to a report, Hayden has taken a position as an “advisor” for the media blacklisting group NewsGuard.
