Foreign Policy Expert Warns China & Russia Pose ‘Alarming’ Threat

(FreedomBeacon.com)- A foreign policy expert warned that both China and Russia present an “alarming threat” to the United States and suggested we pay attention, according to Fox News. Mary Kissel, a former senior advisor to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, discussed the threats on “Mornings with Maria.”

Kissel called Russia an “expansionist power” that has invaded its neighbors multiple times over the years and uses “loose rhetoric” about deploying nuclear weapons.

“This is an important fight,” she said.

Her comments came as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the White House and the Capitol as Congress was preparing to send him another $45 billion in aid as part of the $1.7 trillion omnibus bill.

Kissel said that Zelensky must be feeling some alarm over the rhetoric coming out of the Capitol, which is why he made his first foreign trip since the start of the war, adding that the alliance with the U.S. is “the lifeline for the Ukrainian army, along with our partners.”

While the Biden administration is facing pushback from the excessive financial support of Ukraine that has now totaled more than $100 billion of taxpayer money, Kissel claims that China, Russia, and Iran are forming a “condominium.”

“So, this is not simply a bilateral fight. You have the Iranians supplying drones to the Russians. You have the Chinese doing exercises, naval exercises with the Russians,” the foreign policy expert said.

As China and Russia commence live-fire joint naval exercises, Japan reportedly announced that it increased its defense budget as a response. Despite decades of a pacifist policy, Japan is allegedly establishing an “aggressive footing” before China does what Russia did to Ukraine.

The Japanese are reportedly concerned with China’s increasing military numbers, including its new development of weaponry, and are preparing to anticipate the communist country’s next actions.
