(FreedomBeacon.com)- The FBI claimed in a statement released Wednesday in response to Elon Musk’s Twitter files that the journalists who published them were “conspiracy theorists” out to “discredit the agency.”
As previously mentioned, Matt Taibbi published the sixth Twitter file on Friday, December 16, revealing the FBI’s ongoing censoring and weaponization of Twitter.
Instead of pursuing terrorists or child predators, the FBI has a large number of agents who analyze and flag numerous social media posts. Taibbi says that they do this as a continuous, stand-alone surveillance operation, not a component of any criminal investigation.
Twitter’s contact with the FBI was continuous and all-pervasive, “as if it were a subsidiary,” Taibbi warned.
The facts show that the FBI has been working hard to maintain control over Twitter, its users, and the data they provide.
Following the damning release of the Twitter Files, the FBI stated on Friday-
“The FBI regularly engages with private sector entities to provide information specific to identified foreign malign influence actors’ subversive, undeclared, covert, or criminal activities. Private sector entities independently make decisions about what, if any, action they take on their platforms and for their customers after the FBI has notified them.”
Michael Shellenberger released the seventh Twitter file about the FBI and the infamous Hunter Biden laptop on Monday.
According to Shellenberger’s report, in Twitter Files #7, they present evidence pointing to an organized effort by intelligence community representatives (IC), aimed at senior executives at the news and social media companies, to discredit leaked information about Hunter Biden before and after it was published.
Twitter received a $3.4 million tax-funded payment from the FBI to censor, suspend, and persecute users who only wanted to share the truth.
According to Shellenberger, Twitter received millions from the FBI for their work in stifling free speech.
Sandra Smith read the following from the FBI’s statement during Wednesday’s episode of America Reports on Fox News:
“The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, long-standing, and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies across multiple sectors and industries. The correspondence shows that the FBI gives the private sector important information so they can safeguard themselves and their clients. The FBI’s staff members strive to safeguard the people of the United States every day. Regrettably, conspiracy theorists and others are spreading false information to the American public with the express aim of attacking the agency.”
