(FreedomBeacon.com)- On Thursday morning, multiple law enforcement organizations raided Court Square Towers, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.
Katie Greenleaf, who works for the FBI as a media coordinator, refused to say which company was under investigation. From the outside, it was possible to observe members of the law enforcement community entering and exiting the J5 GBL offices. The information that J5 was the raid’s target was confirmed by a law enforcement source who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Greenleaf and FBI Supervisory Special Agent Nicole Dunn declined to comment on why the search warrant was executed.
Greenleaf stated that at this time, they are involved in a law enforcement effort that the court has authorized. She said they should be able to provide additional information at a later time and rest assured that there is no danger to the neighborhood.
Greenleaf refused to confirm or deny the possibility that any arrests had been made. She declined to elaborate on what had been taken from the building, although she did say that items were seized.
When asked if the raid was aimed at J5, Dunn declined to comment.
Extremely tight-lipped, she said the FBI was engaged in law enforcement at the building that’s been reported, and that’s the only statement they were willing to make.
“We are engaged in law enforcement operations at the location that you’ve named.”
Greenleaf declined to comment on any potential charges that may be brought forth.
Dunn said that she could not disclose any additional information at that time in response to the question of whether or not the raid was connected to action taken by the Department of the Treasury.
Greenleaf refused to name the agencies that were helping, but she noted that “several state, local, and federal agencies are aiding today.”
Only the FBI and the LCSO could be recognized at the location.
