To paraphrase William Congreve in his 1697 book, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”
The quote would seem to be apropos to former top FBI operative Charles McGonigal (49), recently charged with a host of federal charges.
McGonigal was arrested and charged in January 2023 for making false statements to the FBI, money laundering, and violations of Russian sanctions.
A Russian oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, requested McGonigal to spy on and investigate a rival. In another indictment, McGonigal allegedly accepted payment from an employee of Albanian intelligence for more than $225,000 for political connections.
He retired from the FBI in 2018.
McGonigal pled not guilty to both cases and was released after posting a $500,000 bond.
McGonigal was having an alleged affair with Allison Guerriero (49) and told her he was getting a divorce and planned to have the decree framed for her as a Christmas present.
After McGonigal’s release on bond and early in April, his wife Pamela (54) began posting photos on her Instagram page enjoying the good life at The Breakers Hotel, where a house burger will set you back $35, and veal parmigiana is $60.
Upon seeing the posts. Guerriero took to social media to condemn Pamela McGonigal’s Instagram posts referring to her lavish lifestyle, saying it was like giving the materialistic finger to the rest of us. At the same time, she slammed Pamela for posting while her husband faces federal criminal charges.
The following day Pamela McGonigal’s Instagram page time at Saint Ambroeus restaurant, where you can enjoy a $31 pizza, and featured another photo showing tennis icon Serena Williams.
Returning to New York two days later, she posted her Chanel bag while enjoying cocktails at Manhattan’s Hotel Chelsea, commenting on how beautiful it was.
The next stop on April 22, 2023, is the West Village. Commenting on her footwear, it’s finally sandals weather.
The McGonigals sold their Chevy Chase, Maryland, three-bedroom, three-bath home for $799,000 in December 2021.
