(FreedomBeacon.com)- Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that he never suggested to President Donald J. Trump to declare a national emergency to battle the coronavirus.
In response to a question from “Rising” host Batya Ungar-Sargon on whether he still supported closing schools, Fauci said he didn’t recommend locking anything down. He then blamed the CDC, the public agency that uses its epidemiologists and their science-based approach to make recommendations.
Either Dr. Fauci lied, or… well, he lied. Because according to public records, Fauci asked President Donald Trump to declare a national emergency to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
People should remember that others are recording everything they say when they speak.
In October 2020, Holy Cross students participated in a live webinar with Dr. Anthony Fauci, the so-called most reputable expert in the country overseeing the COVID-19 response, to discuss the course of the coronavirus pandemic and the best ways for students to keep themselves and their communities safe.
In response to a query from a twenty-one-year-old psychology major, Alfonso del Aguila, Fauci also discussed the most difficult choice he has ever had to make in his professional life. It was during his role as a leading member of the coronavirus task force.
Fauci answered that when it became clear that we had community spread in the country, he suggested to the President that we declare a state of emergency.
Fauci said it was a really tough decision because he knew it would have significant economic ramifications, as it did.
Fauci also claimed there was no way to stop the explosive spread that we knew would occur if we didn’t do it. Unfortunately, even though we shut down, we saw the virus spread because we did not entirely shut down like China, Korea, and Taiwan did.
In the interview with “Rising” last Monday, Fauci said he would have backed further shutdowns.
What a duplicitous megalomaniac!
