(FreedomBeacon.com)- Last October when a group of “Trump Train” supporters followed a bus operated by the Joe Biden presidential campaign, the media went into overdrive claiming that Republicans were putting the Democrats in danger. The trucks drove in and out of the Biden campaign convoy, and at one point, they were accused of boxing the vehicles in on the road.
Video footage actually showed a Biden campaign vehicle ramming into a Trump supporter’s vehicle, but the media never really spoke about that…
Well, that year-old case has finally reached the courts. According to The Federalist Papers, police officers who refused “frantic” calls from campaign staffers for their bus to be rescued by the authorities actually laughed about the situation and even told jokes about it.
The Texas Tribune also reported on the story, revealing how court documents show the kind of conversation officers were having on the day that Democrats claimed Republicans were endangering them on the road.
In a suit filed against a number of jurisdictions, the Biden staffers claim that they suffered emotional and psychological injury by the event.
They are trying to invoke the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871 when they claim that the police were aware of “acts of violent political intimidation” but didn’t do anything about it – and that’s a stretch, given that very little has been done about the violent political intimidation of conservatives by Antifa for several years already.
Do they have no self-awareness at all?
Some of the 911 call transcripts were revealed in the trial, revealing how San Marcos Police Department Cpl. Matthew Daenzer refused to provide an escort to the Biden camp.
“I am so annoyed at New Braunfels for doing this to us,” a dispatcher can be heard telling Daenzer. “They have their officers escorting this Biden bus, essentially, and the Trump Train is cutting in between vehicles and driving — being aggressive and slowing them down to like 20 or 30 miles per hour. And they want you guys to respond to help.”
“No, we’re not going to do it,” Daenzer responded. “We will ‘close patrol’ that, but we’re not going to escort a bus.”
The dispatcher added that the Biden people were “really worked up over it” and that they are “breathing hard and stuff.”
Daenzer then said that the Biden bus should simply “drive defensively” and it’ll be fine – which is true. Had they just driven defensively and stuck to the rules of the road, they would have been fine. And they were, in fact, totally fine.
Apparently this is worth a lawsuit…
