Election Influence Group Founder Was Fellow at CCP-Linked Center

(FreedomBeacon.com)- According to the National Pulse, the founder of the Center for Tech and Civic Life was once a fellow at Harvard University’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, which has financial ties to China.

Tiana Epps-Johnson co-founded the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) in 2012. This organization gained notoriety during the 2020 election when Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg spent millions to help fund local election offices, mostly in Democrat-heavy districts. To receive those much-needed funds, local election offices had to agree to follow the guidelines set up by the election groups Zuckerberg employed. CTCL was one of those election groups.

That alone is reason enough to object to Tiana Epps-Johnson. The fact that she was a fellow at Harvard University’s Ash Center seems small potatoes compared to the damage her organization did during the 2020 election.

The National Pulse points out that the Ash Center receives funding from Chinese-backed entities like the China Southern Power Grid Corporation, and New World China Enterprises Project. It alleges that because of these donors, the Ash Center often produces research favorable to the Communist Chinese.

Sadly, this is how it works. Why does the Brookings Institute work so hard to boost the Kingdom of Qatar? Because Qatar is bankrolling the Brookings Institute, that’s why.

All of these “prestigious” centers and think tanks are bought and paid for.

What that has to do with Tiana Epps-Johnson is anybody’s guess. But the National Pulse report isn’t about Tiana Epps-Johnson so much as it is an exposé about Harvard’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. Epps-Johnson appears to be thrown in as a “guilt by association” more than anything else.

But it isn’t her 2015-2016 fellowship at the Ash Center that should be of concern to the American people; it is her organization’s undermining our free and fair elections that should bother you.

In her best-selling book Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech and the Democrats Seized Our Elections, Mollie Hemingway outlined the extent of Zuckerberg’s interference in the 2020 election.

Using Epps-Johnson’s Center for Technology and Civic Life as well as the Center for Election Innovation and Research, Zuckerberg poured nearly $420 million into the 2020 election, the purpose of which was to advance mail-in voting efforts and boost Democrat turnout.

But by accepting the funding, Hemingway explained, local election offices had to relinquish control to the left-wing staffers hired by the organizations. These left-wing activists designed ballots, dealt with ballot “curing,” and handled Democrat voter registration.

In late October, Hemingway appeared on Tucker Carlson Today and described just how insidious Zuckerberg’s interference in the 2020 election was.
