Donald Trump’s New Social Media Platform Will Launch On President’s Day

(FreedomBeacon.com)- Just as conservatives were getting to grips with GETTR, a new social media network designed to prevent censorship, former President Donald Trump is gearing up to launch is own efforts. According to an Apple Inc. App Store listing, the former president is planning on launching his new Truth Social app on President’s Day, which is February 21.

Truth Social is expected to be an alternative platform to Twitter and will be run by Trump’s new company, Trump Media & Technology Group. The app will allow people to follow different users, write posts, message friends, and learn more about news content and trending topics.

The launch day is significant for two reasons. First, it’s being launched on President’s Day, and secondly, it comes only a year after the former president was permanently banned from mainstream social media networks off the back of false claims from Democrats and far-left activists.

Twitter banned the former president’s account, @realDonaldTrump, citing their belief that he was inciting violence.

Neither Apple nor Trump Media and Technology Group have responded to requests for comment, however, the launch is expected to be the first of three stages of the new company’s growth. After the social media platform is launched, TMTG is expected to launch TMTG+ – a digital entertainment platform that hosts news shows, podcasts, entertainment, and more. In November, an investor podcast also revealed how the platform is looking to launch its own podcast network.

It looks as though former President Donald Trump is ready to replace the mainstream media and give the American people – and the people of the world – access to a network that doesn’t censor them.

After raising a further $1 billion from private investors in December, the new company is already off to a good start and is valued at more than $2 billion without having even launched a single product or service.
