(FreedomBeacon.com)- Former President Donald Trump is firmly behind Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker, the former college football star who famously endorsed the former president in his last two campaigns.
Walker is running as a Republican candidate for the upcoming Georgia Senate race, which could see some normality return to the state and give Republicans back one of the seats lost in the election last year.
Former President Trump has long urged Walker to run, and in a statement announced his “complete and total endorsement” for a man he described as a “patriot and outstanding American.”

He added that Walker embodies the “America. First” visit and the “winning spirit” of Georgia, describing how he will be tough on crime, the border, and will support law enforcement and our vets.
He also said that Walker will fight hard for the Second Amendment and for voter integrity – an issue that has become particularly important in the wake of the 2020 presidential election and Georgia Senate election, where Voter Integrity Project leader Matt Braynard uncovered tens of thousands of votes cast by people on the National Change of Address Database.
Walker, assuming he wins the Republican primary, will go up against Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock, who won control of the seat last year after defeating Republican Kelly Loeffler in a special runoff race.
If he wins, Walker will receive a full six-year term in the Senate, and will help Republicans potentially take back of the Senate and wrestle back control of extreme left-wing Democrats who are relentlessly attempting to pass extremist legislation through the chamber before the 2022 midterms.
