  • Disney is moving away from DEI initiatives to focus on financial performance
  • Trigger warnings for classic films like “Peter Pan” and “Dumbo” are being removed from Disney+
  • The inclusion of an Israeli superhero in a Marvel film has sparked controversy

In a long-awaited move, Disney is finally pivoting from woke progressivism and focusing on making good content for families. The company is now reportedly prioritizing financial performance over Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. This shift is most notably exemplified by the removal of trigger warnings from classic films on the Disney+ streaming platform.

The decision to remove content advisories for films like “Peter Pan” and “Dumbo” signals a significant change in Disney’s approach to addressing potentially sensitive or controversial content in its older productions. This move has sparked discussions about the role of entertainment companies in promoting cultural sensitivity and addressing societal issues.

Disney’s shift comes amid ongoing controversies over cultural representation in its content. The upcoming Marvel film “Captain America: Brave New World” has become a focal point for pro-Palestinian protesters due to the inclusion of Sabra, an Israeli superhero character. The character, portrayed as an Israeli Secret Service agent in the film, differs from her comic book depiction as a Mossad member.

The fact that there’s a backlash against a Jewish superhero just shows us how much control the far left has had on big companies like Disney for so long. It’s about time it ended.

According to a report by Axios, Disney is changing the disclaimer that automatically appears before movies play. Previously, the warnings said that the film “Includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of peoples or cultures.” The new warning, however, simply reads:

“This program is presented as originally created and may contain stereotypes or negative depictions.”

The first warnings came in 2019 following a backlash from left-wing extremists, who took issue with the original Dumbo movies racist stereotypes.
