Cops Launch Manhunt For Cold Blooded Killer

(FreedomBeacon.com)- The investigation of a 20-year-old mother who was shot while pushing her three-month-old infant down the street remains ongoing. No arrests have been made and the relationship between the victim and suspect remains unknown.

The shooting occurred on East 95th street in front of a public school “where billionaires reside on one side of the block, while the other is poverty-stricken,” according to Fox News. The woman was shot at a very close range once in the head before the suspect, dressed in all black, fled on foot.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams attributed the rise in gun violence to the proliferation of guns on the streets, including “ghost guns,” reiterating a White House talking point referring to homemade firearm that are not federally registered in the system. Adams called this a “national problem impacting families.”

He says that the “oversaturation of guns and dangerous people that repeatedly leave our criminal justice system” is making it difficult for law enforcement agencies, not only the New York Police Department, to do their job. He added that he needs help from the Washington to combat this problem.

“We’re going to continue to move forward, but we do need help from Washington, from the state, from our criminal justice system,” Adams said.

New York City has seen a rise in crime compared to other major cities around the country. There has been a 25.8% increase in homicide, rape, robbery, and assault since this time last year. All violent crimes combined, year to date crime is up 37%, according to the latest data from the NYPD.

The mayor himself admitted how bad the city was after riding the subway for three hours, saying that passengers don’t feel safe on their commute.

“Let me tell you something: When I started looking into this, I was shocked at how bad this place is,” he said.
