(FreedomBeacon.com)- Both MSNBC and CNN struggled in the weekend ratings during the month of June.

Overall, MSNBC’s weekend broadcasting left it in third place during June, with an average of 367,000 total viewers. In the coveted 25-54 demo, MSNBC’s ratings cratered, with an average of only 42,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, CNN came in second in the weekend ratings for June, averaging 423,000 total viewers and 78,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo.

Fox News, on the other hand, blew them out of the water, averaging 963,000 total weekend viewers and 145,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo.

CNN’s weekend ratings for June were the lowest of the year in both overall viewers and the 25-54 demo. Saturday, June 18 was the lowest-rated Saturday for CNN since 1993 back when CNN’s competitors MNSBC and Fox News didn’t exist.

But even with that record low, CNN still beat out MSNBC on June 18. Among the 25-54 demo, CNN brought in 57,000 viewers while MSNBC only received 55,000.

June was an especially bad month for Brian Stelter’s weekend show Reliable Sources. It received its lowest-rated month since June 2001, averaging only 585,000 total viewers, along with 79,000 in the 25-54 demo.

But even with Reliable Sources’ low numbers, Stelter’s show still outpaced CNN’s primetime hosts during the second quarter of 2022. In terms of total viewers, CNN’s primetime brought in an average of 670,000 viewers, 155,000 in the 25-54 demo. Reliable Sources, along with weekend anchor Jim Acosta, beat CNN’s weekday primetime programming.
