CNN Pushes For NYC Concerts While Attacking Biking Rally

( CNN, perhaps the most openly left-wing “news” network on the television, is apparently supporting a public concert that some have described as a superspreader event, despite peddling warnings by Democrats over the last year about meeting other people in public during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The “We Love NYC: Homecoming Concert,” officially promoted by CNN, has caused controversy after going ahead despite the apparent new risk of the spread of the Delta COVID variant. It was originally organized and announced by far-left New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio last month when the number of COVID cases in the city appeared to be under control – and still went ahead even after the city imposed a new vaccine mandate in an apparent push to protect people from the Delta variant.

Jason Miller, the former senior advisor to former President Donald Trump, asked why CNN is actively promoting a “dangerous super spreader event” in NYC.

And it’s not just Republicans trolling CNN. Left-wing activists, writers, and commentators have picked up on it, too. Even non-political people are asking questions about it.

If COVID-19 is still a threat, and if the Delta variant is spreading among vaccinated people, why are CNN and New York City authorities promoting an event that flies in the face of the multiple restrictions recently put in place to help stop the spread?

Writer Charlotte Bismuth asked Mayor Bill DeBlasio “wtf were you thinking?” and also described it as a “super-spreader event.”

Others noticed how CNN didn’t seem to be covering the Afghanistan crisis, caused by President Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal of U.S. troops, but seemed to be covering a concert with 21,000 people in attendance instead.

You’d think American military personnel and civilians being left stranded and even killed in Afghanistan might be a bigger story.

It’s almost as if…CNN might not be very impartial…

Anyway, it didn’t take long for the concert to be shut down – but not because of the virus. Hurricane Henri quickly brought the event to an end in the middle of Barry Manilow’s set owing to the wind and rain.
