Chris Cuomo Comes Out Against CNN With Brutal Details

( Chris Cuomo, the brother of disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who was let go from his CNN anchor role after it was revealed that he had helped his brother navigate a sexual assault scandal, is spilling the beans about unethical behavior from CNN staff.

Revelations come from a new lawsuit filed by the former CNN anchor in New York on Wednesday. Cuomo is seeking $125 million from CNN, and in the paperwork filed with the courts, Cuomo tore into both Jeffrey Toobin and Don Lemon of CNN for engaging in “unethical” behavior.

He said that, despite their unethical behavior, the network still employs them both – arguing that his dismissal was unfair.

The suit explains how Don Lemon was “widely criticized for a flagrant breach of journalistic ethics” when actor Jussie Smollett testified during his trial that the CNN anchor had sent him a text to warn him that Chicago police officers didn’t believe his story. It was later revealed that Smollett had orchestrated a fake racist attack to make himself look like a victim.

Despite Lemon doing this, however, the suit says that CNN did absolutely nothing about it.

Listen, we think Lemon and Cuomo both suck, but this is actually a good point. Shouldn’t CNN at least be consistent in the way it punishes its staff?

The suit also notes that Toobin was fired by The New Yorker after he was seen masturbating during a video call with his colleagues. But CNN, for some reason, didn’t take any action against him. Instead, he was given a seven-month “hiatus” and then welcomed back to the network when things settled down a little.

We’ll be closely following this suit. We can’t stand Cuomo either, but if he was disciplined, then Lemon and Toobin should have been disciplined, too.
