China’s Massive Coverup Exposed By WHO Board Member

( There has been much talk about China covering up full details of the origination and escape of COVID-19 that led to the worldwide pandemic.

But recently, an advisory board member who serves with the World Health Organization said on Monday that the “massive cover-up” is still ongoing. Jamie Metzl was referring to the theory that the virus originally escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China, and the fact that it’s gaining credibility throughout the medical world.

As he told Fox News:

“The Chinese have engaged in a massive cover-up that is going on until this day, involving destroying samples, hiding records, placing a universal gag order on Chinese scientists and imprisoning Chinese citizens journalists asking the most basic questions.”

The growing concern in the medical world is that China is looking to expand its footprint with new labs. Reports say the Communist country has plans to build many biosafety level three labs, as well as one biosafety level four lab in the next five years.

This is happening as investigators are starting to seriously look into whether COVID-19 could have actually come from the lab in Wuhan.

Metzl stresses that it’s extremely important that a “full investigation” take place into the origins of the pandemic. He said it’s essential that America work with its allies to have a “parallel” process if China decides not to cooperate with the investigations.

He said:

“The more that China stonewalls, the more suspicious that it looks. We can’t give China a veto over whether or not we investigate the world’s worst pandemic in a century and then do everything we can to make everybody safe.

“There’s a reason why after a plane crashes, we do everything possible to understand what happened. If we don’t learn those lessons, there are other planes that are in the air. For all we know, the next pandemic is just around the corner, and if we don’t understand and fix our biggest problems, we’re going to be at unnecessary risk.

“We have to get to the bottom of this, which means asking tough questions and following the data wherever it leads.”

Metzl said Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the WHO, was a “hero” for how he’s handled the investigation. He said the WHO received a lot of negative attention early on in the pandemic, and it deserved that negative attention.

However, Metzl said the organization has turned to corner a bit, with Dr. Tedros risking his career to “defend the integrity of the WHO, rejecting essentially the legitimacy of this joint team report and saying we need a full investigation of all origin hypotheses, including lab incident,” Metzl said.

Dr. Tedros didn’t have that conclusion at first, of course, but at least they came around to it eventually, according to Metzl.

The theory that the virus could have escaped from a Wuhan lab gained steam in recent weeks after a Wall Street Journal report said researchers at a virology lab in Wuhan had symptoms of COVID-19 late in 2019.

While nothing has been proven yet, it shows the potential that the lab theory could have been correct all along.
