CDC Is Trying To Escape Blame For Targeting Children

( Last week the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s vaccine advisory committee voted to recommend adding the COVID vaccine to the childhood immunization schedule, the list many states use as a guideline when determining vaccination requirements for admission to schools and daycare facilities.

In a unanimous vote last Thursday, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices approved the inclusion of the COVID shots to the 2022 Child & Adolescent Immunization Schedule.

The immunization schedule does not mandate what vaccines are required for school entry. That decision is left up to each state, a point the CDC had to clarify after Fox News host Tucker Carlson reported on the impending Advisor Committee vote last week claiming the Advisory Committee approval would make the COVID vaccines mandatory for school entry.

In response to Tucker’s segment, the CDC tweeted a clarification, explaining that neither the CDC nor the Advisory Committee establishes vaccine requirements for school children, explaining that such requirements are determined by the states.

California recently became the only state to begin implementing a statewide COVID vaccine requirement for school entry which will take effect after July 1, 2023.

But considering how quickly Democrat-run states comply with every suggestion or guidance given by the CDC, many mandate-happy states won’t hesitate to include the COVID vaccine in their immunization requirements for school.

Despite children as young as 6 months being eligible for the 2-dose COVID vaccine, demand remains low.

According to the CDC, only 9 percent of children ages 6 months to 4 years have received their first shot. Among children ages 5 to 11, only 38 percent have received their first shot.

Unlike the COVID vaccines, every other vaccine on the childhood immunization list has full FDA approval for use on children.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wasted no time after the Advisory Committee’s vote, telling reporters last Thursday that as long as he is governor of the state, there would be no vaccine mandate for children:
