(FreedomBeacon.com)- Last week, authorities in Orlando, Florida released bodycam footage and photos of the hotel suite where actor Bob Saget was found dead on January 9.
This is somewhat surprising since earlier this month, a judge ordered a permanent injunction on all documents, photos, and video footage after Saget’s widow filed a lawsuit to bar the release of documents pertaining to the Orange County Sheriff’s investigation and the medical examiner’s report
The photos released, which were taken after Saget’s body was mercifully removed, included shots of the Ritz-Carlton suite showing the padded headboard believed to have caused Saget’s fatal head injury. They also included photos of the bathroom showing a towel in the tub and toiletries on the counter.
Police believe Saget hit his head on the bed’s padded headboard before going to sleep.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the fractures in Saget’s eye sockets and bleeding around his brain may have been caused by him possibly hitting “something hard, covered by something soft.”
A few weeks after his death, the chief medical examiner concluded that Saget died from blunt head trauma. It was ruled an accidental death. No drugs or alcohol were involved. The autopsy said it was probable Saget fell backward, striking the back of his head. He then went to sleep and subsequently died.
The bodycam footage released by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office reveals deputies responding on the night of Saget’s death. The footage showed that deputies initially went to the wrong hotel room before realizing their mistake. The deputies then went to Saget’s hotel room door, finding the door slightly ajar.
