(FreedomBeacon.com)- Start preparing for the arrival of much more lethal coronavirus strains in the future. That’s the advice of billionaire globalist Bill Gates, who cautioned that additional financing for the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) might help prevent pandemic outbreaks.
Although the Microsoft founder did not want to sound pessimistic, he warned that an “even more transmissive and even more lethal” variation could emerge.
In an interview with the Financial Times (FT), he said the chance of that happening is far beyond 5%, implying that the worst of the epidemic has yet to be seen if his projections are correct.
Even as he flies around the world lecturing on climate issues, Gates warned that while the situation in Ukraine dominates the international stage, global leaders should not lose sight of the health crisis.
He asked for more money to be put into preventing future pandemics.
Gates said that it seems incredible that we could fail to perceive this tragedy and not make these investments on behalf of the world’s citizens. He admitted doubts about whether an international agreement could be reached to enhance funds for the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) in Geneva, Switzerland.
He did, however, believe that the W.H.O. was the only organization capable of assembling and managing the “top-notch” GERM team, whose annual operating expenditures, he estimated, would be over $1 billion.
Gates said that the money involved is minimal compared to the benefit, and it will be a test: can global institutions take on additional obligations in an excellent manner, especially when US-China relations are tense and US-Russia relations are exceedingly tense?
Gates warned that we are still at risk of a variety emerging from this epidemic that’s even more transmissible and deadly.
The Multi-billionaire said that It’s not likely, but there’s a good chance this pandemic hasn’t even peaked.
Gates voiced his hope that the UK would not further reduce its commitment to overseas aid money in his new book, How to Prevent the Next Pandemic, released on Tuesday.
